Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 14, 2026
DebtExit is developed and operated by Aleksandr Katilov. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the DebtExit mobile application.
1. Information You Enter
DebtExit may allow you to enter card names, masked card identifiers, balances, credit limits, annual percentage rates (APRs), minimum payments, due dates, monthly payoff budgets, selected payoff strategy, currency, language, reminders, and app settings. This information is used only to calculate and display your debt payoff plan.
2. Local Data Storage
Your financial planning data and app settings are stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive, collect, upload, or store this information on external servers. Deleting the app or clearing its storage may permanently delete your information unless you created a backup.
3. Bank Connections and Payment Data
DebtExit does not connect to banks, credit card issuers, payment processors, or financial institutions. It does not request or collect online banking usernames, passwords, full card numbers, security codes, or payment credentials, and it cannot make payments or move money.
4. Backups and File Access
You may choose to export an encrypted backup file containing cards, balances, APRs, due dates, budget, and selected language. Backup files are protected with an AES-256 password chosen by you. The password cannot be recovered by the developer. The app accesses files only when you choose to export or import a backup through your device's file picker. You are responsible for storing backup files and passwords securely.
5. App Protection
DebtExit may offer optional PIN protection. Local protection uses Android Keystore where supported. The developer does not receive your PIN or encryption keys. Device security can never be guaranteed completely, so you should keep your operating system updated and protect access to your device.
6. Accounts
DebtExit does not currently require an account and does not collect usernames, passwords, or account credentials.
7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The current version does not display third-party advertising and does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral tracking technologies. The developer does not track you across other apps or websites.
8. Sharing of Information
The developer does not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial planning information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. Information may be disclosed only when required by applicable law or valid legal process; however, the developer generally cannot disclose locally stored information because the developer does not have access to it.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Because information is stored locally, you can delete it by removing individual records where available, clearing the app's storage in device settings, or uninstalling the app. The developer cannot remotely recover or delete your locally stored data or backup files.
10. Children's Privacy
DebtExit is not directed toward children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Financial Disclaimer
DebtExit is a budgeting and informational tool, not a bank, lender, payment service, credit counselor, or financial advisor. Forecasts are estimates based on the information you enter and may differ from actual creditor calculations. The app does not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. Verify amounts and due dates with your creditors and consult a qualified professional when needed.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when app features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
13. Contact
